These children have alcohol or drug addicted parents who are either deceased or in jail. They are being taught the love of Christ, but they need your help, too.
Some of you have had the opportunity to travel to some of the different Native American Indian reservations with me in the past with Project Relief. Many of you not only were shocked at the conditions that many people have to live in, even in 2009 in America. Many children, and elderly have frozen to death on impoverished reservations.
Those of you that have shared your time and efforts with Project Relief to help the many people with blankets, computers, shoes, coats, clothes, basic living necessities, handicap ramps and many other items have found that your efforts and donations have been greatly appreciated.
It is now the goal of Project Relief to build a home in order to house those children who are being raised in families where drug abuse and alcoholism is a way of life. Yes, there are entire families that have fallen to alcoholism and drug abuse on reservations. Some of the children have absolutely no home to go to, they are trying to raise themselves; usually they become gang members or fall victim to the same alcohol and drug abuse as their family members.
This home will be a stable Christian home for children - newborn to 18 years old. They will be taught basic education, along with training in financial planning (the ability to make and use a budget), work ethics, moral and family values, as well as principles for life, Bible studies and training to make them successful in their lives as adults. These children will have responsibilities and chores to be performed around the campus, they will learn to prepare meals, do laundry, and other menial tasks around the "home". We will also provide instruction in learning a trade, computer skills, Christian drama and much more!
The children will be accepted by referral from churches, state and local social and human service agencies, tribal government or agency, or law enforcement agencies. Our goal is to give these children the opportunity to live a life without drugs, alcohol, gangs and violence; to give them a chance at life with some stability in their home and by surrounding them with people who love them and want the very best for each of them. Preparation for life without violence, getting a good education, and to aide them in becoming good, productive Christian citizens.
This home, to be located outside Holbrook,Arizona and will serve many Native American, Hispanic, and other communities.
In order to build this home, and to completely furnish it - we need $500,000. I know this seems to be a huge goal - but WE CAN DO IT WITH YOUR HELP!! So, we are asking that everyone who receives this information to share it with your friends, family, co-workers, church family, and school - and strive to collect $1 per person - this will help us to provide a home and HOPE for these children!
